I recently upgraded to Windows 10 and I love it. However, every time my computer went into sleep mode, I was getting an error that said Hal_Initialization_Failed. While being able to still wake up the computer, it didn’t hinder any computer usage, but I was curious about the error message and just had to look it up.
What I learned was that the problem could possibly be caused by an unidentified driver or from a bug that came from a previous upgrade. And I found a fix!
If you are having the same error, try this:
1. Open a Command Prompt window (Run as Administrator) and enter the following command:
C:\WINDOWS\system32> bcdedit /set useplatformclock true
2. Verify that useplatformclock is on/true.
Windows Boot Manager
Windows Boot Loader
3. Restart the computer then test the SLEEP function.
Just want to shout out a thanks to Microsoft and give you the link to the fix that is posted above http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-power/windows-10-crashes-on-return-from-sleep/f5e23297-b2af-408c-9571-16887a0591dc?auth=1.
